On Tuesday, November 17th, the SHS Student Athletic Advisory Council hosted their "So You Think You Want to Play in College Night" event. The purpose of the event was to give students insight on what it means to be a college athlete and what it takes to achieve that. The council convened a panel of experienced athletes and coaches to speak to the topic.
The evening was organized by SAAC co-founders Cameran and Cassandra Bosco and council members Christopher Margiatto and Mark Lobo. These student organizers received high praise from two of the guest speakers who commented that they would hire them as assistant coaches tomorrow because of their collaboration, communication and professionalism. Speakers also reported that this was the first event of its kind that they have attended and that other districts should follow suit. Well done SAAC!
