Athletics
The primary goal of Suffield Public Schools athletic program is to promote the growth and development of its participants. By taking an active role in sports, student athletes will benefit physically and emotionally becoming their best selves. The athletic program is an integral part of the overall school program and is open to all students.

Summer Sports Participation Information
Attention: All athletes in grades 9-12, including the incoming freshman, entering Suffield High School for the 2025-2026 school year. Listed below is the contact information for teams that will be practicing over the summer. Each coach will share the SPOND code with you. The SPOND APP is Suffield High form of team communication. Once SPOND has been downloaded, please enter the code below for the respective team. You will be added and once approved you will receive information plus communicate with the team and coach. Both players and parents/guardians have access to SPOND for communication. The use of text or group chats for sports team information is not a permitted practice.
Summer Practices: Last year the CIAC approved a total of 4 hours per week for coaches to work with their teams for 6 weeks in the summer. This year the dates are 6/16-8/9, it is optional for teams and coaches. Practices are open to all players from incoming grade 9 thru grade 12. These practices are optional and will not be tied to tryouts or making a team.
Fall sports: The first day of fall sports will be Monday, August 18, information regarding fall tryouts will be posted in August regarding times and locations. Any athlete planning on trying out and participating in a fall sport must be registered through Final Forms with a current physical and signed forms. Directions for completing Final Forms for the first time may be found on the Suffield Athletic Website.

No athlete can participate without an updated physical
Athletics Registration
Online registration through the FinalForms is now the only way to register for high school athletics. To register on FinalForms, please create an account and complete all necessary documents no later than one week prior to the beginning of your season. To access registration forms and/or create an account please follow the directions in the Final Forms Instructions.

In addition, a current physical must be on file in the Nurse's office (blue state physical form). Physicals should be valid through the entire season for which you are registering. All of this must be completed at least one week prior to the start of your season.
No athlete will be allowed to participate until the online registration has been completed and a current physical is on file with the nurse.

- I91 N Exit 40 (Route 20W)
- Second Exit take right on Rt 75
- Follow Rt 75 to Rt 168. (approx. 5 miles)
- Left on Rt 168 (Mountain Rd)
Suffield High School
Left on RT 168 (Mountain Road) go approx 3/4 of a mile and take a left on Sheldon Street. School is on the right approx. 1 mile at 1060 Sheldon Street.
Bruce Park (Cross Country Meets)
Go approx 1 mile and take a left after the police station. There is a sign and road for Bazin Bruce Park. Fields are in the back. Entrance is between the police station and elementary school at 945 Mountain Road.

Suffield Ice Hockey games are at Enfield Twin Rinks
Take I-91. Take Exit 46 (King St. exit). Turn left off the exit. At the light take a left onto Weymouth Rd. Continue on Weymouth Road until the end. Then take a left onto Simon Rd. You'll come to a stop sign, continue straight onto Raffia Rd. Kennedy Middle School will be on your right and the Twin Rinks will be on your left. The exact address is: 1 Prior Rd Enfield, CT.
