SUMMER READING!!!
The NEW Summer Reading Program is simple… READ A BOOK!
In support of the S.H.S philosophy that reading for fun is an important part of life, all students and staff are expected to read a book this summer to share in the fall.
· Pick any book appropriate for high school level reading.
· During a school-wide book discussion day in the fall students and staff will talk about the books they read.
· In class, fill out a 3x5 index card review, including the Title, Author, # of pages, and a rating.
Vocab for a Cause! Go to www.freerice.com to boost your vocabulary and earn rice for the UN World Food Program.
Help Feed Homeless Pets! Check out www.freekibblekat.com and answer trivia questions to benefit animal shelters. This site was created by a teenager, who got the idea from FreeRice.
