Hello SHS Parents!

Teacher Appreciation Week begins May 1st. In honor of our teachers and to show our sincere gratitude for all that they do, we're seeing your help to make this year's annual Teacher Appreciation Luncheon a reality on Friday, May 5th. For this event to be successful we're in need of help with either a monetary or food/beverage donation. If you're willing and able to help, please contact either Cari Cieri or Lynn Faherty as soon as possible.

Previous years' outpouring of donations have allowed this wonderful and worthwhile tradition to continue. Thank you in advance for helping to make this year's event a success!

In an effort to increase community awareness of SHS programming and activities the school has created a new Twitter page. Please find and follow the Twitter name @suffield_hs as we are hopeful that parents, students, and the community will find this additional means of communication helpful as we highlight the wonderful things happening at SHS. Examples of some recent posts include biotechnology work happening as part of a grant through Amgen Pharmaceuticals, opening night of the SHS basketball season including a Unified Basketball game vs. East Windsor, an announcement regarding the school's commitment to the CIAC Class Act School Sportsmanship framework, and a congratulations to this year's CAPSS Student Award Recipient.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: Representatives from the following four schools will be here at SHS on Wednesday and Thursday: Hartwick College, Johnson & Wales University, Asnuntuck Community College, and Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Many of the college representatives that visit Suffield High are the same people reading your admissions application, so seniors, it maybe in your best interest to speak with them if applying to their school. If interested in meeting with any of these reps, sign up in the Counseling Office.
